MacKillop Inquiry Centre (MIC)
Our new state of the art library, opened in 2011 and completely refurbishment in 2019, is a flexible, innovative learning environment. The MIC contains an extensive collection of fiction and nonfiction resources, supporting many Australian authors, containing both Asian and Indigenous perspectives, in its literature choices. A small parent collection is available for borrowing, with a focus on supporting your child’s learning.
The space within the MIC includes media rooms, one with a green screen, flexible theatre area with tiered seating, a variety of work and reading areas and a flexible learning space upstairs. The technology equipment within this facility is mobile and available for borrowing, supporting the teaching and learning within the classrooms. This equipment includes Chromebooks, Virtual Reality, 3D printers and iPads. Children are encouraged to be regular readers with book borrowing facilities available to all children from Prep onwards.
