Excursions and Camps
Excursions and Camps are an important part of the School Curriculum. Our Year 6 students participate in a three day, two night camp each year. This experience is an essential part of their curriculum and helps the children to build life skills, grow in confidence and develop strong relationships and construct special memories.
Reader’s Cup Challenge
Students in Year 6 are invited to nominate for election for the Far North QLD Regional Reader’s Cup Challenge, held in the month of June on the Tablelands. Each year our school selects a team of 4 students to attend the Challenge.
Training commences in first term for Cross Country and later for our Inter-House Sports. A School Representative Team competes in the district sports zone comprising other Catholic schools and Independent schools.
Throughout the year, representatives from the school will compete against other schools in various sports events. Some of the school sporting teams are Rugby League, AFL, Touch Football, Hockey, Basketball, Netball in which students can compete in.
Swimming lessons for Year 4 are held in 1st term and for Year 3 in 4th term at Tobruk Memorial Pool.
